A Supreme Court bench comprising of Justice Chandrachud and Surya Kant while hearing a
plea filed by one Parwej for the purpose of quashing of the notices sent to alleged protesters by Additional District Magistrate in December 2019 for recovering loses occurred in the Anti
Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protest in UP.

Justice Surya Kant said to the Yogi Aditya Nath that this kind of notices can be withdrawn
with a single stroke of pen, if you are not going to listen then be ready to face the consequences, the court will tell you how to obey the Supreme Court’s Judgements.
